Module 2 turns attention to the inner axis of the body and the organization of identity. Across four weekends, the focus moves from the spine through the core and breath, into the chest. The work draws on functional anatomy, neurophysiology, and yoga philosophy. These perspectives illustrate how spinal movement, breathing mechanics, and core support shape perception and felt sense in yoga.
Experience continues to stand at the center of the training. Each weekend begins with extended yoga practice. Somatic inquiry and reflection accompany the work throughout. Self asks: how do breath and spinal movement influence embodiment? How does the body organize around support, pressure, and release? How can yoga facilitate self-regulation?
The module examines the mechanics of spinal movement and muscular stabilization, including a dive into the relationship between diaphragm, psoas, and pelvic floor, and ways in which pressure systems anchor movement. A dedicated weekend introduces the autonomic nervous system and explores how rhythm, pacing, and breath influence regulation. Work with the rib cage and thoracic mobility gradually opens the space of the chest and connects breath, spine, and posture. Together these explorations establish the spine, breath, and core as an integrated center for practice and teaching.
